What is SMS2?

SMS2 Main WindowMeet your new two-factor authentication system: SMS2, the most reasonable two-factor security system on the planet.

It fits into almost all existing remote access systems powering Fortune 100 companies, the government and even your schools. SMS2 connects to your Citrix server and with the click of a button enables two-factor authentication for all your users. (Click here to learn more about two-factor authentication.)

SMS2’s two-factor authentication means that every user will have to validate their right to use the system. This is done by using the password they already know and then providing them with a one time use (or time based) security key via text message, a physical token, or if they have a smartphone via a soft token app.

Big or small, SMS2 will work with your system. It integrates seamlessly with the major remote access systems so as long as you have a RADIUS enabled system like Citrix it will just work.

Open Standards All The Way …

There’s no need for expensive licenses for proprietary software; we use the latest and greatest open standards. This means that SMS2 is very modular, supports any device or system that uses the well known open standards, such as OATH, and will easily communicate with any existing systems that use open standards as well.

Hardware & Software tokens …

Your system can be as complex or as simple as you need it to be, no need to add expense. Want to save some money? You can use a software token such as Google Authenticator.

We can supply you with a very cost effective key (or keys) that is extremely budget friendly and yet has all the same features and functionality for the more expensive keys. If you want physical tokens then it’s important that you’re not locked in to a single vendor and that you have the power and flexibility to purchase whenever and from whomever you wish. We have partners who can supply you wish very cost effective keys that are extremely budget friendly.

Authentication through your mobile phone …SMS2 SMS Setup

If you don’t use a smartphone don’t fret, you can get your authentication code via text message. Simply setup the system to send a one-time token to you via text message, and every time you need to login it will automatically send a new code that’s unique to you.

No phone? No problem.

Stuck without a smartphone or a dumb-phone? No worries, we’ve got you covered. Instead of using a phone or a physical token, you will soon be able to print out a security matrix. Match the code to the one you see on the screen, enter the right token from the grid and you’re set.
